Working knowledge of OPERA
Previous experience in the same or similar position
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk:
Introduce and maintain the most efficient check-in/out procedures.
To ensure that reservations are taken correctly and courteously.
Ensure guests are greeted, checked in to allocated rooms promptly and courteously
Ensure credit control procedures are strictly adhered to.
To ensure that accounts are balanced daily.
Manage the arrival and departure turnover.
Ensure collection and delivery of luggage to the apartments is done efficiently.
Daily spot checks of suites and rooms to ensure 5 star standards.
Nominating and identifying VNL leisure club members.
Communication:
To ensure effective liaison between reservations and front office staff with other departments.
Ensuring that all staff members are aware of all activities at the Village.
Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work.
To attend all management meetings as required.
Guest relations:
Readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints.
Tend to and arrange for guest needs.
To monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions how these could be implemented.
